THEATER
A couple loses two young children in a short span of time. A tragic, real, story that happened in Mozambique. The mother, overwrought and trying to overcome the tragedy, offers to adopt a nephew. Her sister, living in Portugal with two kids of her own, denies the request in no uncertain terms. If she had acquiesced the little boy's life would have been very different - he would have inherited a small fortune. You probably wouldn't find him directing and performing theatre in Portugal.
Three of the oldest mala voadora members were born in Mozambique. One of them is Jorge Andrade. Despite coming to Portugal at the age of four he aims, in Moçambique, to build an autobiography as if he had lived in Africa all his life. And so that his story can ring true, he will have to force it onto the History of Mozambique.
