In "Migraaaants (working title)", playwright Matéi Visniec takes us on a journey through stories that, despite being fictional, could very well be true stories that we hear, read and watch in the daily news: the crossing of the Mediterranean on precarious dinghies, the African children that fall into the clutches of organ traffickers when they reach Europe, the behind-the-scenes politicking where only PC attitudes matter and the tensions that keep popping up around Europe, the Middle-East and sub-Saharan Africa. With this text, the author wants to create awareness towards the refugee crisis, social conflicts, war and all underlying problems that come from the spread of the West's social and economic model.
In the preceding months, the young participants of project K Cena focused on this text and its themes. They enjoyed long debates and shared their reflections, their anguish, the actions that they would like to take and how they see the future. To the stage, they bring their own vision of "Migraaaants".
