THEATER
Table (Mesa): noun, feminine, singular and concrete. Is it?
A table is much more than that. It's the place of an infinity of actions, individual or collective. At the table it's written, eaten, talked about, drawn, operated, constructed, celebrated, voted and essayed.
There are table of various materials, sizes and shapes, but what most makes this object vary is the way as each one relates to it. There's nothing right or wrong, just different ways of looking. A table is a table, but it can always be something else!
Having, as a starting point, the book Uma mesa é uma mesa. Será?, from Planeta Tangerina, and the researches made in a school context, this show aims to explore this object not only in its utilitarian dimension, but also in its symbolic and affective dimensions.
Through the course of the show, two characters use the table to travel between past, present and future, invoking the places from imagination and memory.
