In their newest production, theatre company Mochos no Telhado, wants to open the word "MÃE" (Mother) to find out how it looks on the inside. What types of mother inhabit this global, fast-paced world? How can someone convey the constant conflict between love and sacrifice, between the mother you are and the one you want to be - or that others want you to be? Being a mother is truly the best thing in the whole world.
This work explores the process of continuous transformation, transition and discovery that we call being a mother. The dramaturgy emerges from a set of interviews to women of different countries, cultures, age and life experience, about their relationship with maternity, complemented by a collection of references that range from poetry to affective and literary texts.
