Luca Argel, renowned Portuguese-Brazilian musician, poet and writer, brings, first-hand, to Teatro Viriato’s stage, his most intimate and boldest project yet: “O Homem Triste” (lit. The Sad Man). A concept album that dives deep into subjects such as male mental health and the politics of emotions, transforming frailty into strength and silence into music.
The album was recorded in the historical Companhia dos Técnicos studio, in Rio de Janeiro, and was produced by Moreno Veloso, one of the most influential figures of contemporary Brazilian music.
Accompanied by his usual band, Luca Argel will entrance audiences with a sensorial and poetic concert, where original songs fuse together into a gesture of empathy, vulnerability and hope.
“O Homem Triste” is the emotional journey of what it means to feel, love and heal oneself. A show that turns pain into beauty and listening into an art.
