How long does it last, from the extraction of polyethylene up to being thrown away? Not very much, when compared with how much time it will pass roaming the planet carried by the wind. What if us, humans, could also escape gravity and fly with the wind, carried on the arbitrary waltz of air, finally attaining freedom?
"L'apres midi d'un foehn Version 1" uses a simple turbine to create a vortex. Little plastic bags ebb and flow through the air, in response to air movements controlled by the protagonist. A wordless performance, that plays with wind and objects.*
*Synopsys created from a text by Phia Ménard, August 2010
