HIGHLIGHT Suspect the unsuspicious.Fraga
SYNOPSISIn October 2020, theatre director Fraga began the Laboratory of Theatre Creation with the community of Viseu, right here in Teatro Viriato. Since then, once a week, sometimes at Teatro Viriato and sometimes in zoom sessions, the group met to read and talk about some Bertolt Brecht's didactic plays, such as The Decision', The Exception and the Rule, He who says yes', He who says no', among others.
Based on Brecht's premise that "the stage should reflect real life", the dramaturgical re-reading of these texts, as well as the development of the actor's work and new theatrical texts in an entertaining but formative manner, the participants and the director created a dramaturgy that allowed them to explore the concepts of representation and interpretation and, at the same time, contributed to the creation of SENSO' (Sense), which premiered at Teatro Viriato in March.
Now, it is time for the participants of Viseu's community to present the result of the last months of dedication to the creation process in this Laboratory.
