Music
Júlio Pereira returns to the Viriato Theatre to introduce us to his new work, named Praça do Comércio, which he composed with several national and international instrumentalists and where, once again, the "Cavaquinho" (similar to a Ukulele) is the soloist instrument.Júlio Pereira's distinctive music always reveals itself as a constant source of new ideas. You can no longer say that his concert is about traditional music because the author's music, originating from ethnic references of our culture, intersects with those of others from all over the world.
Praça do Comércio "is, once more, an important milestone in the identity of Portuguese music, it remains faithful to its roots but it searches for new paths and new sonorous dialogues".
