Music
In music, as in life, the impermanence of things is the only truth that feeds the development and creativity of our existence. When we realize what something is, it is no longer the same. Or it's us simply looking at it in a different way. Starting with these reflexions, Susana Santos Silva launches this musical project that recreates and transforms itself at each moment and never repeats itself. Firmly rooted in the jazz tradition and strongly linked to free and experimental improvisation, the resulting sounds are part of an impermanent and constantly evolving musical history.
The trumpet player, improviser and composer, a name that is already a reference in contemporary jazz and improvised music in and out of Portugal, she brings together João Pedro Brandão, Hugo Raro and Marcos Cavaleiro in this project, musicians from Porto as well as their long-time collaborators, and also Torbjörn Zetterberg, a Swedish bassist with whom she has worked assiduously over the last four years.
This concert will have the particularity of counting with the participation of the multimedia artist Ana Carvalho, who will perform real-time video.
