I DON'T BELONG HERE

DOCUMENTARY

In 2015, Teatro Viriato co-produced the play I Don't Belong Here, about a group of men and women that, despite their Portuguese nationality, lived almost of all of their lives in the USA and Canada, until they were suddenly deported to Açores.
Given the relevance of the topic, the director Paulo Abreu condensed the testimonials of curious incidents and the rehearsals for the play in a documentary.
"I Don't Belong Here, the documentary, shows a social portrait of a group of people looking for their own identity and tries to decode that complex relationship between the individual and a nation." (Tiago Dias dos Santos)
