hOLD

Mora than a stage of life, getting old is a universal phenomenon with multiple dimensions — physical, psychological, social and cultural. With this theme as a starting point, “hOLD” brings two professional dance performers to the stage, São Castro and Teresa Alves da Silva, both nearing fifty years of age, that research ageing has fertile ground for the creation of new narratives and future representations, while valuing the capabilities and contributions of the older generation within various contexts. This piece is part of Teatro Viriato’s programme for this very season, being staged on October 31st.
