HALLO

CONTEMPORARY CIRCUS

Savant of the New Circus, artist of movement, Switzerland's Martin Zimmermann has travelled the world with his latest show achieving extraordinary success. In Hallo, Martin creates a character with the body of an articulated doll and the agility of a contortionist, a naive and clumsy guy, who makes others laugh unintentionally, that lives inside a small wooden box leaving it to inhabit a scene akin to a warehouse showroom. The set and the objects therein have a life of their own using every opportunity to play tricks on him, leaving him embroiled in embarrassing, uncomfortable and funny situations.
Hallo results from the multiple shocks between Man and his various personalities. Martin thus tried to bring life to the multiple ways of being oneself; with its dramaturgy he tried to delicately sketch a life.
