Guintche started as a single drawn figure, born from the memory of a concert. It grew, received the breath of life and rebelled, emancipated itself. It stopped being the prosthesis of some random thought to become a bona fide dance. The music's repetitive, circular movement encompasses the totality of the piece, pushing inequality to the forefront of the performance, determining successive changes in direction. Guintche is whirled outside itself: from its face emerges the monstrous and ugly; from its hands the mask, hands constantly chewed, digested and vomited; in it is twirling, rolling, the body contracts, expands, transforms, disfigures. The lines drawn between one body and another are discontinuous - one's exit from one's body; the way of intensity.
