When Miguel Fragata and his classmates stepped onto the stage for their course’s final production – The Seagull, staged by João Pedro Vaz –, they were filled with uncertainty and expectations towards the future. Once act four ended and the curtain fell, life started. All having the same starting point, where are they today, twenty years later? What trails have their lives blazed?

“Gaivotas em Terra” is a collection of filmed interviews with those same actors who were part of that cast two decades ago. Accompanied by images that resisted the passage of time and contaminated by the spirit of Chekhov’s text, over these interviews forever hovers a Seagull.
