Furo Lento

Three people sitting in a row in a dark setting, on the right side of the image, dressed in red suits and western-style hats covering their faces, looking down.
Three people standing in a row, progressively blurred from left to right in the image, dressed in red suits and western-style hats covering their faces, with something that looks like a microphone in their mouths.

“Furo Lento” is a dystopian western that brings us a not-too-optimistic view of the future. In this eco-fiction, Rui Paixão uses physical theatre and circus to create a show about the probable uninhabitability of our planet and the idea of space colonization. On stage, three performers discuss a fragile future where everything can happen at any moment.

Rui Paixão is renowned for experimenting with new possibilities for the language of physical theatre and contemporary circus. He collaborates with various companies, and was an original creator at Cirque du Soleil, among others.
