"How very little do we need to destroy the life we have? How much do we need to change? How little needs to happen for us to transform into someone else?" in O Banquete, by Patrícia Portela
This play is born out of the challenge issued by actors Pedro Gil and Tonan Quito to writer Patrícia Portela. Fausta has its starting point in her latest novel O Banquete, published by Caminho. From chosen parts of the book, this work is intent on rewriting the story of Fausta and her daily exchange of souls. The audience gathers to hear a woman who recounts her life after death in the voice of two men. "To unravel all secrets, we need to first know the whole story, unite all stories... of this body that holds many times." This is the autopsy of a posthumous narrative looking for an impossible whole.
