The company Théâtre de La Mezzanine, renowned for its grand and extravagant shows, reinvents the Opera with Dido e Eneias. Inspired by Henry Purcell's baroque opus, stage director Denis Chabroullet imagines a new Carthage, placed on a ruined factory inundated by disordered water pipes. In this phantasmagorical setting, mirroring world chaos and the tragic beauty of love, Dido and Aeneas live the torments of passion, before being captured by destiny.
