Starting from Despertar da Primavera, a tragedy of youth written by Frank Wedekind, in 1891, Teatro Praga transposes onto the stage, a contemporary version of the story of a group of teenagers in conflict with a conservative and moralistic society, the story of those shunned by the system.
The play is grounded on the lyric expressionism of a shapeless adolescence, with its own language that distances itself from splits between the cynical and the sincere, the poets and the rational, seemingly hovering over what has been built as if it did not belong to them.
Issues such as puberty away from Nature, subjecting one's body to another, and construction of identities, shall be addressed in a perspective that resists all traditional normalcy and where desperation is life and suicide a victory.
