Rui Catalão presents in Dentro das Palavras, a play created while he was living in Romania, a summary of ten years being in intimate terms with Dance and dancers. His work reflects upon the progressive departure of Dance from spoken language as a principal means of expression, but also unearths how the body's life suffers this change in communication.
In the matrix of the project we find the dichotomies isolation - communication, hiding - revelation. Dentro das Palavras tries to bring to the surface one of the dilemmas of the arts and contemporary thinking that best survived the end of modernism: the relationship between truth and fiction, between personality and character, between private and public.
