DANÇA DA MORTE

A most important text in the works of August Strindberg, Dança da Morte is a diabolic and bleak portrait of the life of a couple isolated from the world in a miserable and troubled existence, marked by unending disputes, brutal accusations and the inevitable estrangement of all those around them, without any hope of salvation.
In a claustrophobic, timeless and geographically undefined scenic space, Marco Martins' stage direction confronts two actors, of distinct generations, Miguel Guilherme and Isabel Abreu, "in an intensely realistic and psychological reread of this bourgeois drama about the emptying of objectives, fatigue and blame throwing one another for their own choices and failures".
