WORKSHOP
Founder of TOK'ART - Plataforma de Criação, where he shares artistic direction duties with Teresa Alves da Silva while also being an associate choreographer, André Mesquita, Resident Artist at Teatro Viriato in 2013, proposes Corpo em Movimento, a workshop with two sessions for different age groups, dedicated to the exploration of the choreographic body's territory and also of questioning, an action that generates motion and time. André Mesquita invites participants to do a practical analysis encompassing the themes of body, movement and space.
Artistically trained at Academia de Dança Contemporânea de Setúbal, André Mesquita has worked with a myriad of creators as a performer while being deserving of resounding praise as a choreographer, with both national and international critics highlighting his sensitive qualities and originality.
