WORKSHOP
In this workshop, participants will explore instruments, sonorous objects and the human voice in order to create the soundtrack of a film. Starting by approaching cinema history from the perspective of its sound and music, they'll watch and hear some examples that illustrate just how sound can complement images, creating an emotional atmosphere. Afterwards, through improvisation, questions and answers: What emotions do these images evoke? What sounds best suit them? When is silence the more viable option?
With everyone's contribution - both in ideas and experimentation - the music for a short animated film, slowly but surely, takes form so that, in the end, after written and rehearsed, the participants can record it and finally play the film with their collective creation as soundtrack.
