The stage as a place of union, combat and utopia. Music as the impetus: acting, reacting, resisting, re-existing. To remain in the present and assay the desire to reach a new world, attaining new ways to coexist. Accommodating discomfort, embracing the risk of failure. To sing, to dance, to dare and communicate in a way that best serves a collective will to change. Denying discrimination and the social injustices that persist and grow ever more, hand-in-hand with another crisis. To reconstruct, to restore, to re-humanize.
This show is a dive into the three decades of artistic repertoire of Sílvia Real, that breathes new life into her words and songs. Once familiar, they are now in the hands of a (de)constructing band, that gives voice to that which matters most: empathy, cooperation, a living idea of revolution.
This concert is dedicated to the memory of musician Pedro Gonçalves (1970-2021).
