CONTEMPORARY CIRCUS

"Chá das Cinco - Peça para quatro amigas mais uma que nunca mais chega" is a contemporary circus performance that will take place on Prado do Parque de Santiago (lit.: Santiago Park Meadow). The artists hope to interact with an audience of all ages through the idioms of dance, music, clown, mime, balancing acts and juggling.
The present, the here and now, is represented by the ability to sip and enjoy the infusion. But, contrary to what's expected, peace is nowhere to be found. The utopian quiet of tea time clashes with the anxious situations and pitfalls that keep happening - the water that takes forever to heat up, the tea that insists on not being ready and the missing friend that takes her sweet time to arrive.
