Paulo Ribeiro returns to the cinema universe of "Ceci n'est pas un film" and he once again brings to the stage a journey through pictures of the past and the future concerning the elevation of love. The love that becomes possessive, demanding, dependent, desperate, exalted, suffocating; but also pathetic, comic, tragicomic, playful, frivolous, virtuous, tortuous, ostentatious and empty. The love that slips into the darkness of the soul and hyperactivity as a way to exorcise illusion and delusion!
Without closed narratives, without overwhelming dramaturgy, without the obligation to be fully understood, this is a choreographic play that has no intention to use dance to illustrate a film, but only to show a world of senses of life itself in its simplest configuration of affirmation. And simultaneously and indelibly invite Magritte to join us.
"Ceci n'est pas un film" is a reassembly made by Paulo Ribeiro Company.
