The choreography addresses an explosive contemporaneity, simultaneously physical, technological and accelerated. It is based on spatial organisation devices related to fast-spaced sports, where the use of prostheses (skates), creates physical expressions that imply risk and accident.Catarina Miranda
Cabraqimera' is a choreographic score for a quartet on skates, a dance piece about states of detonation. Catarina Miranda addresses an explosive contemporaneity, simultaneously physical, technological and accelerated. On stage, there is a clear plastic dimension that turns the dancers into an apparently impossible being a being equipped with humours, desires and libido, that projects its body towards an extreme otherness and opens the gates of fiction.
Cabraqimera' was born from the Invitation Programme for National Artistic Creation, launched by the 5 Sentidos (5 Senses) cultural programming network. The show is complemented by the visual installation Poromechanics', and both are based on the dynamic dichotomy between hidden interior and cutaneous contour, with the body regarded as a platform for cognition.
