BIBLIOTECA DO FIM DO MUNDO

THEATER

fri and sat 20h30 | 150 min. approx. | 14+ years capacity 50 people per sessionMunicipal Library of ViseuSingle price 5,00€
In a time when the world seems to be waiting for the apocalypse, a small group of spectators will have the opportunity to spend some time in the Municipal Library of Viseu, in the company of a small group of performers, on a journey that will wander through such authors as Ray Bradbury, Matilde Campilho, Homer, Alice Walker, Carolina Maria de Jesus, Ocean Vuong, Virginie Despentes, Clarice Lispector, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Bruno Latour, Ailton Krenak, Caetano Veloso, Warsan Shire, Alberto Manguel, Baptiste Morizot, Svetlana Alexievich, Ana Martins Marques, Umberto Eco, Julietta Singh, Jorge Saramago and countless others. There is no single narrative linking all these names, but a series of parallel conversations that complement each other yet also move apart, giving each viewer a different version of the same show.
'Biblioteca do fim do mundo' (Library of the end of the world) is a performance that prompts us to think about the past, the present and the future, going through the stories we create to light up the darkness while the dawn is yet to arrive.
