The portuguese two-men ensemble Aquaparque, - Pedro Magina and André Abel - born in Santo Tirso, present their second album, Pintura Moderna, at Teatro Viriato. Possessing a style widely praised by critics, with heavily-synthesized music and voices in turmoil, they push the audience into a kaleidoscope of memories and musical references from where is hard to single out any one element, except for the fact that they drink from the inspirational fountain of portuguese 80's pop music. Music made purely to enjoy, it pendulum-swings from familiarity to strangeness, seducing and disorienting, while at the same time burrowing deep under our skin.
Pedro Magina and André Abel met at primary school and started writing music, together, during their teenage years and were part of several other bands. They achieved immediate success with the début album for Aquaparque, É isso aí (2009).
