In the last two years we have been living focused on a global disease, which has limited the way we relate to each other, namely by restricting communication and intimate contact between people, circumscribing physical contact itself. In the last two years, we have been living in strange times. Times in which we have lost the habit of kisses and hugs, simple handshakes, laughter and faces... we even stopped seeing the full expression on the faces of friends, schoolmates and teachers. We have lost so many smiles in recent times.
And it is all that that the Lugar Presente School of Dance wants to recover. That is why it has decided that its End of Year Performances, which take place on the stage of Teatro Viriato, should focus on people. To focus attention on the need to exalt the diversity of human culture, as well as to express the rights that we all should have to freedom and peace, to health, to education, to culture. But above all to encourage the spirit of friendship and healthy sharing among young people, because they will be the adults of tomorrow, in a new world we wish more egalitarian and more fraternal.
