ABÍLIO, GUARDADOR DE ABELHAS 3.0

THEATER

Abílio, Guardador de Abelhas 3.0, crosses Graeme Pulleyn's theatre, Luís Belo's pictures and Ricardo Augusto's music creating a single performative idiom. This show is the end result of almost a year of work and discovery, visiting apiaries, talking to beekeepers, tasting honey and researching both the real world of bees and the fictional world of Abílio. Throughout this journey Abílio reinvents himself and with the help of a beehive placed on the roof of a building he finds a new meaning of life, transforming the whole city around him.
Abílio, Guardador de Abelhas 3.0 tries to raise several questions about the priorities of so-called developed societies and the sustainability of collective life. It's also a play about the ups and downs of life and a celebration of the ability humans have for turning into warriors in the battle for their own happiness.
