Creating a show in which traditional dance and music intersect with contemporary music and dance is the principal aim of choreographer Filipa Francisco. The challenge was thrown by Teatro Viriato to Rancho Folclórico de Torredeita, within the framework of their commemorating 50 years of activity. The collective accepted, and together with performers of contemporary dance, their members started on this journey, laying down new bridges between worlds that usually don't meet, nor dialogue. In this way, the project encourages the public to experience new forms of cultural enjoyment, either from the artistic object or the intangible heritage, seeking to discuss how popular demonstrations adhere and want modernity, creating new meanings, allowing for a new ownership and a new understanding of their role in the world of today.
