Premiere
In A Tundra, Luís Guerra shares a visual poem for five performers. A non narrative poem were movement appears akin to a trance-like psychedelic trip, rooted on a mind-scape of ice, wind and cold. Turning his choreographic idiom towards the idea of tundra, a windy, cold, icy place - images that fill the imaginary of this choreography, Luís Guerra extensively researched circular, bouncy, flying and spiralling movements.
On stage, Luís Guerra is accompanied by an all-star cast and his own grandmother, a central figure of the piece's scenic geometry, sharing a strong emotional and physical density with the other performers in what the choreographer calls a singular talent of gestural beauty.
