Considered by british magazine "Dance Europe" as one of the world's best dance performers, Luís Guerra once again justifies the accolade lavished upon him with A primeira dança de Urizen. Inspired by William Blake's "The First Book of Urizen" and the universe created by Valter Hugo Mãe, this solo piece (the first work in which choreography, music and costumes are all signed by Luís Guerra himself) exposes the performer's virtuosity moved by his interest in the mundane and desire to design movements that end up building choreographies hoping that, when all is said and done, this work will prove to be veritably iconoclastic.
