A Música dá Trabalho

“A Música dá Trabalho” is a project by record label Omnichord, from Leiria, Portugal, based on the book with the same name about twenty-two occupations of the music sector, written by Patrícia Martins and Hugo Ferreira, illustrated by Diogo Monteiro (Tenório). 

This book, that will be gifted to all students who participate, is the starting point for a unique educational experience. A team of professionals from this domain – musicians, sound technicians, video directors, among others – will visit schools during the morning, setting up five workstations, demonstrating the whole process from music creation to its performance on-stage.

At the start of the afternoon, the entire school – and not just the classes that applied for the workshops – will have the opportunity to watch a concert, performed by local musicians. Schools that might be interested in hosting a session of this project can apply through Teatro Viriato’s ticket office.
