EXHIBITION
Obtained from the dance showing New Age New Time - that brought to Teatro Viriato Theatre choreographies by Cláudia Dias, Luís Guerra, António Cabrita and São Castro, Tânia Carvalho, Marlene Freitas, Sofia Dias and Vítor Roriz - José Alfredo's photographs reveal, this time round, the intensity, the provocation and the interpellation of creations designed in Portuguese. Fleeting moments, marked by the beauty of movement and, above all, by the certainty of a future of enormous creativity in regards to this art form, compelling the beholder to unfetter oneself from the yoke of reasoning and getting lost within one's emotions.
A professional photographer since 1982, José Alfredo collaborates with Teatro Viriato since 1998, but also with Câmara Municipal de Viseu, Grupo Visabeira, Grupo Martifer, among many others. With several exhibitions of photographic work, both collective and otherwise, under his belt, it is no wonder that he has already amassed several accolades in photography competitions.
