After visiting the historic and creative universe of the choreograph Laban, Leonor Barata goes on exploring the importance of the masculine side in the Contemporary Dance creation.
The interpreter revisits the choreographic world of Merce Cunningham. For this choreograph, dance presents itself as a natural movement resulting of the force of chance and not of the logical threading.
During the workshop, the participants are challenged to try the notion of chance, its consequences at the movement level and also to understand the role of Merce in the artistic avant-gardes of the time.
With this work, the interpreter Leonor Barata intends to promote the intellectual and creative development of young people, by appealing to the XX century History of Dance.
