"A Fragilidade de Estarmos Juntos" (The fragility of being together) is a show about the dilemmas of being married to democracy. It presents a debate on current, complex and structuring themes related to our collective and individual future: democracy, liberalism, populism and the (re)rise of authoritarian models.
Although the idea had been conceived for some time, the show's creation was spurred by the reception and public impact of the play "Catarina e a beleza de matar fascistas" (Catarina and the beauty of killing fascists), by Tiago Rodrigues. "A Fragilidade de Estarmos Juntos" expands on these themes, the struggle for power (and the power struggles) and the ability to give it up coexist as structural bases of democracy. Can this be a system whose strength lies in its fragilities?
