A CONSTITUIÇÃO

THEATER

Maria Leite, Miguel Moreira, Paulo Pinto and Pedro Lacerda are the heroes of a new society, invited to write a new Constitution, although none have any experience in such matters.
And so they get down to the business of writing the ultimate version of the Constitution, debating how to better condense, inside that 'super text', the ideas that will regulate, liberate, oppress and emancipate a supposed future, while reviewing all principles that guide the State.
In A Constituição, Mickaël de Oliveira faithfully reconstructs the principal decisions that the actors made during a short period of time, sequestered from the rest of the world, while creating the perfect constitution for an imperfect community.
This play is part of a tetralogy dedicated to the reflection of political, philosophical and public questions that guide our society: No(s) Revolution(s) (2015), A Constituição (2016), A Sauna (2017) and Sócrates tem de morrer (2017/2018).
