1974 de TEATRO MERIDIONAL

THEATER

1974‘s aim is the Portuguese identity created from the narrative discourse of three important Portuguese History periods of the last century: a dictatorship that lasted 48 years, the April 25th, 1974 revolution and the period that followed it marked by the entering the European Economic Community. Several fragments of situations parade across the stage. These were lived by the older and were listened by the younger from their parents and grandparents who were pictured without clichés.
Inscribed in the logic of the artistic and scenic building of the Teatro Meridional, Para Além do Tejo and Por Detrás dos Montes performances, the 1974 performance joins to the scenic language, essentially speechless and built through the actor's physicality, the musical and the visual language.
Teatro Meridional was distinguished with the Prémio Europa - Novas realidades Teatrais, for its innovative and creative way, which is one of the most prestigious recognitions from the world of Theatre.
