This year, for the first time since the inception of "Festival Internacional de Música da Primavera" [International Spring Music Festival], we celebrate spring music in December. Even though the cold weather blows outside, the energy of the warmer season will reign on our stage thanks to this festival.
A point of reference in national and international music scenes, "Festival Internacional de Música da Primavera", returns to Teatro Viriato with three concerts, a show that mixes music and dance and the grand final of the 4th Viseu International Guitar Competition.
The festival's programme, promoted by Conservatório de Música Regional de Viseu [Regional Music Conservatory of Viseu], and that usually focuses mostly on chamber music, adds both contemporary and age-old music to its roster, bringing together, throughout stages across the city, world renowned musicians, from all across the world, and young virtuosos.
