For more than 20 years of history, Teatro Viriato has assumed a paramount position in Portuguese artistic creation. In addition to our regular programming, we are also a home that welcomes artists in different stages of their productions with the objective of offering them the best work conditions for the development of those creations, always arm in arm with the muses (with a highly specialised team that does not let them sleep). Technical and art residencies, dedicated spaces for dramaturgic construction and discussion, experimental presentations, staged readings with and without audience, stage or equipment tests. At Teatro Viriato there isn't a square inch that does not inspire an idea or that does not turn into the setting or incubator of some creative project. This season we welcome our Associate Artist, Sónia Barbosa, Victor Hugo Pontes, Ricardo Correia, Gonçalo M. Tavares, Patrick Murys and Dançando com a Diferença.
