“K CENA – Projeto Lusófono de Teatro Jovem” is a Teatro Viriato initiative that aims to stimulate the taste and curiosity for stage performance and writing, promoting the appreciation of Portuguese language and recognizing its value, and that of theatre, as vehicles for the development of the Portuguese-speaking identity, as well as for personal and interpersonal enrichment.
The 2024/2025 edition was coordinated by Cláudia Lucas Chéu in close collaboration with Gabriel Gomes and Patrick Murys. Participants, using “Cartografia da Dramaturgia Portuguesa” as a starting point, bring to the stage recreated texts from that book. This stage show is the result of tireless weeks of theatre training developed with guidance from the renowned playwright and other local and national artists, specializing in different artistic domains.
