More than a set of tax benefits that actually translate into a reduction of taxes paid, Teatro Viriato wants to make Cultural Patronage into a project founded on mutual challenge and an upfront and transparent meeting of like-mindedness between companies and Culture. A partnership that can turn into a source of prestige, creativity and citizenship for both partners.

For Teatro Viriato it’s fundamental to strengthen its autonomy, diversifying funding sources that may supplement the public funds granted by the State and the Municipality of Viseu.

Our deepest wish is that Cultural Patronage can turn into a strategy of cooperation and complicity between us and the entrepreneurial connective tissue. Within a context of globalization and massification, associating a company’s brand to the public service Teatro Viriato provides for the community, namely school communities and the younger generations (through teaching, raising awareness and helping to create cultural memories) is paramount for the arrival of a future filled with creativity and innovation. Culture is, and will ever be, a mark of distinction.

Throughout the years, Teatro Viriato Patrons/Maecenas have had the opportunity to see various shows on stage, to allow the circulation of Culture, to receive and care for the well-being of artists, to challenge creators to go inside their companies.  

We wish to continue walking side by side with companies, sharing a permanent connection – dynamic, fruitful and intimate. Because Teatro Viriato is only possible with the participation of all civic society.
