MEDIATION

Teatro Viriato’s cultural mediation aims to bridge the gap between art and community, creating safe spaces for dialogue and active participation. Through educational events, workshops, post-show talks/Q&A sessions and projects involving schools and other institutions, we try to engage a wide range of audiences, always respectful of their necessities and context.

Our mediation work promotes inclusion and reflection, stimulating critical thinking and interaction with artistic creation. This is the commitment that pushes Teatro Viriato to contribute for an increasingly accessible and transformative form of culture, thus amplifying its impact in the community.

EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Mediation with schools and institutions is a way to educate through culture, raising awareness, within families and the school community, for the importance of enriching school education with access to stage shows and workshops. This strategy promotes the development of critical thinking, creativity and self-expression, incentivizing a greater respect for knowledge and the value of diversity, raising citizens who are both more active and aware. It also brings the younger generation closer to the universe of artistic creation and the context of cultural enjoyment as a collective social practice.
