YOU NEVER KNOW HOW THINGS ARE GOING TO COME TOGETHER

Dance

With an impressive international career and owner of a unique and original style, based upon abstract movement and technical rigour, André Mesquita returns to portuguese stages, this time, with a choreography for six performers. You never know how things are going to come together is the second piece by André Mesquita inspired by David Brooks' Social Animal. After the last one, Vertical (2011), he returns to the author that reveals new perspectives on the subconscious - the place where personality is formed.
What attracts André Mesquita to Brooks' theories is the latter's trust in intuition and emotion. The meaning of life is not in rationally knowing oneself but, actually, in losing oneself. Just like in one's life, no one ever knows how all the elements will come together in choreographic creation.
