Within the context of movement research that Maria Ramos explores in her project Um Certo Grau de Imobilidade she'll work having has a starting point various constraints of physical action. These restrictions generate a range of new movement situations that'll be guided and supervised by Maria Ramos throughout the workshop.
The notion that the body generates narratives, will serve the choreographer's purpose of exploring two complementary perspectives: the articulated body, detailed and pondered, that moulds and is moulded; and the body in a rough state, that, when in movement, becomes unpredictable, improbable and dangerous'. From a solid base - warming up and activating the individual and collective physical imaginations - technical exercises of exploration and improvisation will be launched, igniting movement research.
