Having Roswitha Scholz's "Homo Sacer e os Ciganos" as a starting point, art structure Bestiário, in collaboration with Maria Gil, reflects on the phenomenon of antigypsyism, from both a political and anthropological perspective.
They rundown the historiography of gypsy peoples from the West, exploring events such as the persecution suffered during the protocapitalist era or the genocide at the hands of the Nazi, finally ending up on the ever-growing populisms of today. Without moralism nor idealizations, they've reconstructed a History that society forsake.
For this project they invited activist and actress Maria Gil who, in seamless artistic homeostasis, works perfectly together with Bestiário.
