At Teatro Viriato, Viseu
Companhia Paulo Ribeiro and Teatro Viriato promote for the very first time Summer Lab, an intensive dance training programme. For a week, world renowned instructors will grant participants access to diverse artistic idioms, creative methods, styles and practises relating to the body, alternating between classical and contemporary dance techniques, improvisation, choreographic laboratory, as well as getting acquainted with the composition method of acclaimed choreographer Wayne McGregor.
This programme will be a privileged space for learning, for sharing experiences and for the development of dance practises through research and construction of physical and sensory material within a dynamic, on-going and structured context provided by each instructor, in all taught subjects.
Divided into 3 work groups, according to age and experience, Summer Lab's main goal is to create opportunities for the improvement and evolution of each participant's technical and artistic potential, in a relationship of proximity that allows the sharing of different methodologies and ways of feeling and thinking about one's body.
